The First Minister’s Reading Challenge is back for year 2 and is now open to every Primary 1-7 pupil in Scotland!
The main focus of the Challenge is to encourage reading for pleasure and support schools, libraries and communities to build reading cultures. We know that reading journeys can be personal to every single child but, to encourage and motivate schools and pupils to get involved, we’ve set a number of challenges which we hope will inspire you.
If you are a P1-7 teacher or a librarian and would like to find out more, please come along to one of our 4 regional events. This will be an opportunity to ask questions and share ideas with professionals in your area. We'll share success stories from last year and look ahead to what's coming next for the Reading Challenge.
