For 11-year-old Martin Moone, living in a family of girls is hard, but living with his imaginary friends is nearly impossible!

Outnumbered by his sisters, Martin attempts to rebalance the gender divide in the Moone household after his best friend Padraic tells him of a special catalogue where he can order his very own imaginary best friend. Martin’s first choice, the aptly named Loopy Lou, is too wacky and only serves to annoy Martin further until he finds the more relaxed office clerk, Sean ‘Caution’ Murphy, who quickly becomes Martin’s new wingman and guide.

Written as a prequel to the hit TV series, it’s easy to see that many of the stories are based on things that really happened to the writer when he was growing up. A genuine warmth shines through the characters and world he has created, making Moone Boy a story that both kids and adults will love!
